			Summary  
			 
			As part of the I-5 North County Enhancements Project, Metro’s contractor OHLA-USA, will be performing asphalt paving along southbound I-5 at Lyons Av/Pico Canyon Rd, and on the northbound I-5 truck route between I-210 and Weldon Canyon Rd Bridge. This activity will include use of paving equipment and trucks to import construction material. The work is scheduled for two nights on Thursday, April 7 and Friday, April 8, 2022.  
			 
			What to Expect/ Traffic Control  
			 
			Two-night closure of the northbound I-5 truck route between I-210 and Weldon Canyon Rd Bridge and Lyons Av/Pico Canyon Rd on- and off-ramps. Signage will be posted along the detour routes. Trucks will be detoured to the I-5 general-purpose lanes and vehicles will be detoured to the next available ramp.   
			Southbound I-5 Lyons Av/Pico Canyon Rd on-ramp: 
			
				- Detour: Left at The Old Road, left at Calgrove Bl, enter southbound I-5 Calgrove Bl on-ramp.  
 
				- Closure hours:  
				
					- April 7 at 7pm – April 8 at 6am  
 
					- April 8 at 7pm – April 9 at 9am  
 
				 
				 
			 
			Southbound I-5 Lyons Av/Pico Canyon Rd off-ramp: 
			
				- Drivers will be rerouted to Calgrove Bl off-ramp 
 
				- Closure hours:  
				
					- April 7 at 7pm – April 8 at 6am  
 
					- April 8 at 7pm – April 9 at 9am 
 
				 
				 
			 
			Essential Details  
			
				- Work schedule: Thursday, April 7 and Friday, April 8 between 7pm and 9am. 
 
				- The northbound I-5 truck route closure hours are:  
 
				- April 7 at 11pm-April 8 at 5am 
 
				- April 8 at 11pm-April 9 at 6am.  
 
				- Consecutive ramps in the same direction will not be closed at the same time. Detours to the next on-ramp will be posted for each closure.  
 
				- Traffic will be maintained in each direction.   
 
				- No lane closures will be implemented during morning or evening peak traffic hours.  
 
				- The speed limit within construction work zones is changed to 55-miles per hours.

			Access to emergency responders will be maintained. Construction is a dynamic process, it is subject to weather conditions, and information is subject to change, visit the project website for the most up to date information and a weekly listing of ramp closures scheduled.
